Fence types we put up
Fencing is the core of what Kane does, and it leads the reviews outright: more than half of the 20 name a fence or gate job. The gallery shows the range: feather-edge close-board on concrete posts and gravel boards, contemporary horizontal slatted screens, trellis-topped runs for climbers and overlap panels where they suit. The right choice depends on privacy, wind, the look you want and the budget, and Steven will talk you through it honestly before quoting.
The detail is where it shows. For Bozena, Steven cut the panels to fit over a wall, which was intricate work, and chose tongue-and-groove effect boards because they look far better than standard panels. That is the difference between a fence assembled and a fence built.

- Overlap panels and larch-lap where they suit the garden
- Gates in timber, rehung or replaced, and brick gate posts repaired

Reviews
What customers say
Plenty of the fencing work is repairs and gates rather than whole runs. Zoe had broken fencing fixed and a rotten wooden front gate replaced; Tom had a fence post replaced and, separately, a new side gate fitted at a new property. Lucia had front fencing, a repaired brick column for her front gate and a replaced side gate, then booked Steven again, calling his prices very competitive.
If a repair is the honest answer, that is what you will be quoted for. If posts have failed and the run is due for replacement, you will hear that straight, with a precise quote either way.

Steven did a fantastic job of replacing and fixing some broken fencing in my garden, as well as replacing a rotten wooden front gate. He was incredibly helpful, friendly and polite and answered all my questions. I would highly recommend him.

Common questions
Feather-edge or contemporary slatted fencing?
Feather-edge close-board is the traditional, private, hard-wearing choice and takes concrete posts and gravel boards well. Slatted screens give a modern look with gaps that let light and wind through. Steven will show you both against your garden and budget before you decide.
Can you repair a fence rather than replace the whole run?
Yes. A lot of the work is fixing broken panels, replacing a single failed post or rehanging a gate. Reviews cover exactly that. If the posts are sound, a repair is the honest, cheaper fix, and that is what we will quote.
Do you fit gates and repair brick gate posts?
Yes. Reviews mention replacing a rotten front gate, fitting a new side gate and repairing a brick column for a front gate. Gates and their posts are part of the same job.
